Manuel L. Quezon University (MLQU) warmly welcomed its new students and transferees for the Second Semester through a comprehensive orientation program designed to ensure a smooth academic transition and a strong start to university life.
The activity introduced students to MLQU’s academic environment, institutional policies, student services, and campus culture. University officials, faculty members, and key administrative offices presented essential information on enrollment procedures, academic expectations, student support systems, and opportunities for involvement in organizations and campus initiatives.
In her message, Executive Vice President Lucille P. Ortile emphasized that MLQU is fundamentally a mentoring school — an institution where students are guided closely not only in academics but also in personal and professional development. She encouraged students to approach her directly should they encounter concerns or challenges, assuring them that university leadership remains accessible and responsive.
She also announced the installation of suggestion boxes across the campus, underscoring the administration’s commitment to listening to student feedback. According to her, meaningful engagement between students and administrators is essential, as it allows university leadership to assess whether institutional goals, vision, and mission are truly being realized in the lived experiences of the students.
Beyond the briefings, the orientation reinforced the message that success in university life is shaped not only by academic achievement but also by communication, community, and active participation.
Through initiatives such as this orientation, MLQU reaffirms its dedication to fostering a supportive learning environment where every student, whether newly admitted or transferring from another institution, feels welcomed, prepared, and empowered to succeed.
