MLQU Senior High School Celebrates 19 Graduates at 3rd Commencement Exercises

The Manuel L. Quezon University (MLQU) Senior High School marked a significant milestone as it held its 3rd Commencement Exercises on April 22, 2026, at the elegant Ballroom of the Victoria Sports Hotel, honoring the achievements of  Batch 2025–2026.

Guided by the graduation theme, “Filipino Graduates Prepared to Lead with Competence and Character (Pilipinong Nagsisipagtapos Handang Mamuno Nang May Kakayahan at Mabuting Pagkatao),” the ceremony reflected MLQU’s enduring commitment to developing not only academically competent students but also principled and socially responsible individuals.

A total of 19 graduates proudly received their diplomas, marking the culmination of their Senior High School journey. Of these, four (4) graduates earned High Honors (Silver), while seven (7) were recognized with Honors (Bronze) — a testament to the batch’s dedication, discipline, and pursuit of excellence.

The ceremony opened with welcome remarks from the newly appointed Principal, Mr. Jay Mathias A. Arellano, who warmly greeted the graduates, their families, and members of the MLQU community. He emphasized the significance of the occasion as both an end and a beginning — a transition toward greater responsibilities and opportunities.

The formal confirmation of graduation was conducted by Ar. John Joseph T. Fernandez, Vice President for Academic Affairs, affirming the students’ successful completion of academic requirements and readiness to take on the next stage of their educational and professional journeys.

Serving as the Commencement Speaker was Atty. Keith H. Cipriano, Director of General Education and Head of the Extension Services Office of MLQU. In his inspiring address, he reminded the graduates of the deeper meaning of their education and the values they carry forward:

“As you graduate from this hallowed institution, you carry with you the values and virtues that will guide you long after the applause here fades.

As one of the administrators of this University, allow me to profess my belief in you.

You are prepared. You are equipped. You are ready.

You are prepared not because the world is easy, but because you know how to be resilient.

You are equipped not because the path ahead is clear, but because you have learned to walk with purpose.

You are ready not because you know all the answers, but because you have learned to seek truth with humility and courage.

You are leaders. You are Quezonian Leaders!”

His message resonated deeply with the graduates, reinforcing MLQU’s identity as a mentoring institution that equips students not only with knowledge, but with the mindset and character needed to navigate an increasingly complex world.

The ceremony concluded on a warm and celebratory note, as graduates, faculty, and families gathered for a short farewell get-together, sharing moments of gratitude, reflection, and anticipation for what lies ahead.

As the graduates step beyond the halls of MLQU, they carry with them the University’s enduring legacy — ready to lead, to serve, and to make meaningful contributions to society as true Quezonian Leaders.
