MLQU School of Business Partners with Ten Elleven Manila, Inc. to Advance Digital Accounting Education

On March 2, 2026, the School of Business of Manuel L. Quezon University (MLQU) formalized a strategic partnership with Ten Elleven Manila, Inc. (TEMI) through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the integration of “Juan by Juan Tax,” a cloud-based accounting and taxation platform, into selected academic programs. The collaboration marks a significant step in strengthening the School’s technology-driven business education and enhancing students’ readiness for modern industry practice.

The MOA was signed by Lucille P. Ortile, Executive Vice President of MLQU, and Genevieve Galang, Vice President and Co-Founder of TEMI. Witnessing the ceremony were Leonila J. Generales, Dean of the School of Business, and Sophia Ysabelle Baldonado, Partnership Associate of TEMI.

Advancing Tech-Business Education

The partnership aligns with the School of Business’ vision of strengthening its tech-biz academic direction by integrating industry-relevant accounting software into its accounting and business management programs. Through this initiative, students will gain hands-on exposure to professional-grade digital tools, enabling them to develop practical competencies, improve employability, and enhance industry readiness upon graduation.

Under the agreement, MLQU and TEMI will collaborate through a pilot-scale academic partnership model that combines:

  • Guided training sessions
  • Self-paced learning resources
  • Curriculum-aligned instructional activities

These components will equip students with both foundational knowledge and applied skills in accounting and taxation through the supervised use of the software as an instructional tool embedded in selected courses.

Bridging Academe and Industry

“Juan by Juan Tax” is already utilized by academic institutions such as University of Santo Tomas and De La Salle Lipa, as well as by numerous small and medium enterprises, demonstrating its relevance and credibility in real-world business environments. Its adoption at MLQU reflects the university’s commitment to aligning academic training with current industry standards and digital transformation trends.

This collaboration underscores MLQU’s continuing efforts to build strong linkages with industry partners and provide students with experiential learning opportunities that bridge theory and practice, preparing future professionals to thrive in a rapidly evolving, technology-driven business landscape.
