MLQU Congratulates Atty. Ria Corazon Golez-Cabrera on Her Appointment as Presiding Judge of RTC Manila Branch 25

The Manuel L. Quezon University (MLQU) community proudly congratulates Atty. Ria Corazon Golez-Cabrera, the immediate past Vice Dean of the School of Law, on her appointment as Presiding Judge of Branch 25 of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) in Manila.

Atty. Golez-Cabrera, a respected educator, lawyer, and public servant, has long been an integral part of MLQU’s School of Law. Appointed as Vice Dean by the Board of Regents in June 2022, she served with distinction, contributing significantly to academic leadership, faculty development, and institutional growth. In November 2024, she was further designated as the Corporate Secretary of MLQU, continuing her service to the university in a key administrative capacity.

A dedicated educator, Atty. Golez-Cabrera continues to be a member of the faculty of the School of Law, where she shares her wealth of legal experience with aspiring lawyers. Her teaching career also spans other prestigious institutions, having taught at San Beda and De La Salle University.

Her professional experience is equally impressive. From 2008 to 2019, she served as Commissioner of the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB), now the Human Settlements Adjudication Commission under the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development. Prior to that, she worked at the Office of the Government Corporate Counsel, and earlier in her career, as an associate of Angara Abello Concepcion Regala & Cruz (ACCRALAW), one of the country’s top law firms.

Atty. Golez-Cabrera obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law, and her undergraduate degree from the University of Asia and the Pacific.

Her appointment as Presiding Judge of RTC Manila Branch 25 is a testament to her dedication, integrity, and unwavering commitment to justice. The MLQU community celebrates this significant milestone in her career and expresses profound pride in her continued service to the country’s legal and judicial system.
