Manuel L. Quezon University (MLQU) proudly honored the academic achievements, grit, and resilience of the Class of 2026 during its 79th Commencement Exercises on June 20, 2026, at the historic Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, Quezon City.
The grand ceremonies brought together graduates, families, faculty members, and university officials to mark a proud milestone in the lives of the new Quezonian alumni across multiple disciplines:
School of Graduate Studies: 79 graduates
School of Engineering: 59 graduates
School of Business: 35 graduates
School of Criminal Justice: 12 graduates
School of Architecture: 8 graduates
School of Law: 48 graduates (celebrated in a dedicated ceremony on June 25, which also featured the conferment of an honorary Doctor of Laws upon Supreme Court Associate Justice Alfredo Benjamin S. Caguioa)
Day 1’s proceedings were enriched by powerful insights from distinguished guest speakers who challenged the new graduates to lead with integrity and purpose:
Morning Session: Featured prominent political journalist and educator Mr. Christian Esguerra, who shared vital perspectives on public discourse, truth, and leadership.
Afternoon Session: Welcomed Ms. Mybelle V. Gobio, President and CEO of Robinsons Land Corporation, who inspired the cohort with lessons on corporate vision, resilience, and nation-building.
Representing the voice of the graduating batch, responses for the Class of 2026 were eloquently delivered by Hiroshi Kenrene B. Gacad and Edarlyn Jane G. Llanes, capturing the collective sacrifices and triumphs of their academic journey.
Meanwhile in Day 2, in his address—delivered during the ceremony where he was also conferred an honorary Doctor of Laws, Honoris Causa—Supreme Court Associate Justice Alfredo Benjamin S. Caguioa spoke directly to the Class of 2026, emphasizing the vital role of competence, integrity, and resilience (paninindigan) in navigating modern legal challenges such as digital misinformation, AI, and public accountability.
From undergraduate achievers and graduate scholars to working-student law graduates balancing demanding professional and family roles, this year’s cohort truly embodies the Quezonian spirit.
As these new professionals step into their respective fields—whether in law, engineering, business, architecture, criminal justice, or public service—MLQU stands confident in their ability to drive meaningful change.
To our graduates: go forth and lead with distinction.
Pro Patria et Jure.
