MLQU BS Psychology Students Post Promising Results in Mock Psychometrician Licensure Examination

The Bachelor of Science in Psychology program of Manuel L. Quezon University continues to demonstrate its commitment to academic excellence and licensure readiness as students posted encouraging results in the recently conducted Mock Examination for the Psychometrician Licensure Examination.

The mock board forms part of MLQU’s intensified board preparation initiatives aimed at equipping future psychometricians with the competencies, confidence, and examination discipline necessary to excel in the national licensure examination.

Building Future Licensed Professionals Through Rigorous Preparation

The results reflect the growing readiness of MLQU Psychology students to meet professional standards and underscore the University’s commitment to outcomes-driven instruction and licensure-focused academic support.

Among the key highlights of the mock examination were:

Strong Adaptability to Board-Type Testing

Several students demonstrated notable adaptability to licensure-style examination formats, with some emerging as top performers despite limited or no prior diagnostic baseline — an encouraging indicator of the program’s ability to develop student potential effectively.

Improved Translation of Theory into Practice

Students showed measurable gains in applying theoretical knowledge to practical and board-oriented scenarios.

These scores reflect growing mastery of the competencies expected of future licensed psychometricians.

Consistent Academic Excellence Sustained

Students who previously demonstrated strong academic standing continued to perform well.  They maintained above-average and stable performance across both diagnostic and mock examination phases, reflecting sustained preparedness and discipline.

Subject Areas of Strength Highlight Program Effectiveness

The examination results likewise highlighted strong performance in key competency areas:

  • Developmental Psychology emerged as a continuing strength of the cohort;
  • Improved results were likewise observed in Abnormal Psychology and Psychological Assessment, demonstrating strengthened proficiency in core professional subjects.

Preparing Students for Professional Success

These results reinforce MLQU’s thrust to produce graduates who are not only academically prepared but professionally competitive. Through structured review programs, outcomes-based teaching strategies, and licensure-focused interventions, the University ensures that its Psychology graduates are equipped for success beyond the classroom.

As MLQU continues to invest in board readiness and professional preparation, the BS Psychology program remains steadfast in its mission to develop future mental health professionals who embody competence, integrity, and excellence in service.
