OBJECTIVES

GENERAL: To bring into significant relation such areas of human knowledge that are geared towards the improvement of the quality of human life.
 

SPECIFIC: To assist the individual to realize his potential as a human being, develop self - discipline and critical thinking, and acquire a hierarchy of values that will enable him to respond meaningfully to the requirements of a dynamic society.

To produce individuals whose skills and expertise in their areas of specialization will contribute to the intelligent utilization of the country’s resources for the benefit of all generations.
To produce individuals capable of appreciating and enjoying a good and fruitful life.
To produce citizens imbued with an unqualified and abiding commitment to GOD, country and society.

Description:        

This program particularly trains students to teach in the elementary level, as such he has to be a master of all the subject areas in the elementary and be prepared to teach all of these.

This course provides the students the basic and specialized know-how in politics, political institutions, international laws, relations with foreign nations and other specialized fields like business, education, journalism and law.

BACHELOR OF ARTS IN POLITICAL SCIENCE

Description:        

This course deals with the study of government and politics, as well as the nature of the state, forms and history of political institutions. The course also covers the study of political theories, descriptive and comparative governments, courses in public law, constitutional law, administrative law and jurisprudence, international law and relations, diplomacy and international organizations.

The prospective graduates will gain knowledge in basic scientific concepts and principles regarding human behavior with emphasis on the psychological, emotional and behavioral problems. They are also trained to become experts in administering, scoring and interpreting different types of psychological tests.

           BACHELOR OF ARTS IN JOURNALISM

Description:

 

 

       

This program deals with the concepts, theories and principles of news writing, feature writing, editing, copy reading and advertising. It also trains students to write in magazines and newspapers. They are oriented on responsibilities and obligations of the press in modern society.

FEATURES

The School of Education, Arts and Sciences is actually composed of the School of Education and the School of Arts and Sciences, which are both accredited schools: 

The former, has been re-accredited for Level II while the latter is Level II accredited. Both schools have produced men of integrity and who now occupy important positions in the government service. 

In the field of teaching, countless of principals, supervisors, a few superintendents, directors of schools, deans of Private Colleges and Universities and thousands of teachers found in all corners of the Philippines have been the products of the School of Education; 

While in the School of Arts and Sciences, there are a long list of M.L.Q.U. “greats” and to name a few: Eduardo Libid (Foreign Service Diplomatic Corps), Guillermo de Vega (print medium and public service), Amado Inciong (lawyer, journalist, labor leader), Vicente Cruz (public service), Artemio Tuquero (public service, Secretary of Justice), Corona I.
