The School of Accountancy and Business Arts shall produce quality and socially responsible accounting, commerce and secretarial graduates who will excel in the entrepreneurial and corporate world.
 

GOALS & OBJECTIVES

          The SCHOOL OF ACCOUNTANCY AND BUSINESS ARTS (SABA) has the following goals and objectives:

 

  • To enable students to acquire knowledge needed to meet the demands of the areas of specialization in the business arts, particularly in accountancy, finance, marketing and management, and to develop skills required for effective business administration.
  • To achieve the total personality development of students through a balanced curriculum and by providing them with opportunities to attain academic excellence, moral uprightness and proactive leadership qualities.
  • To produce effective and competent managers who will make significant contributions to the economic and industrial advancement of our country and people.
  • To equip students enrolled in the business arts with the skills needed for the maximum and optimum utilization of the country's manpower and material resources in order to address the concerns of the new millennium.

 

COURSES OFFERED

             BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ACCOUNTANCY
 

Description:     

The revised accountancy curriculum is designed to provide the students preparing for an accounting career with a broader, more comprehensive educational experience demanded by a rapidly growing accounting profession.

In keeping with current developments in the accounting profession, accounting is blended with the other major functional areas of business so that the accounting graduate becomes, not a narrow accounting specialist, but a well-rounded professional, competent to handle not only the specialized problems of accounting but also those problems which confront the management of business enterprises and government agencies.

            BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN COMMERCE
           
Major in Finance

Description:     

The primary objective of his curriculum in finance is to familiarize the students with the financial activities in our economic system and with the complex financial institutions and instruments used in facilitating the operations of the various phases of business enterprises and government agencies.

The program also aims to prepare the students to take advantage of job opportunities in the banking industry, investment, insurance companies, commercial enterprises, and in a variety of positions in government agencies requiring a broad understanding of management of financial affairs.

             BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN COMMERCE
             Major in Marketing

Description:

 

    

 

The program is designed to develop students for entrepreneurial or corporate work in marketing management and for them to be trained for higher responsibilities in various areas of marketing by actual work situations through assignments in either profit or non-profit organizations.

The course curriculum seeks to prepare the students for job opportunities in the sales department of distributing and manufacturing concerns, in commercial establishments and advertising agencies. The program also provides broad training in marketing research, sales management and in supervising advertising campaign.

             BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN COMMERCE
             Major in Management

Description:     

The course enhances the managerial, strategic planning, creative, and leadership abilities of the students so that they can work in any of the major departments of a private firm or in a government agency.

The program stresses the application of management principles and policies, problem solving through the use of case studies, role playing and other effective teaching strategies, to enhance the preparation of the students for supervisory, administrative, or managerial positions in business and government.

ACCOUNTING REFRESHER COURSE
Are you a BSC major in accounting graduate? If yes, your last chance to take the CPA board examinations.

Are you a BSA graduate of prior years (1995 - 2003)? If yes, please read the informatin below.

Are you a fresh gradute but feels the need to refresh?

The Manuel L. Quezon University, School of Accountancy and Business Arts offers a Comprehensive Refresher Course scheduled on a Saturdays, 1:00 - 7:30 pm and Sundays, 9:00 - 12:00 and 1:00 - 4:00 PM at a very affordable fee. The course covers all the eight (8) CPA board subjects conducted in a well-ventilated airconditioned rooms. The enrollees to the course are invited for free to attend other undergraduate subjects in accounting, law and taxation to better refresh/enhance their knowledge of the course.

The subjects are handled by professional, brilliant effective, experienced and dedicated reviewers who are also teaching in other well-known schools and review centers in Metro Manila. All of them are practicing CPA/Lawyer.
